Guatemala

Does anybody know where Huehuetenango is?  That’s where Gabe is right now!  We took him to the airport early Sunday morning and where he left for Guatemala.  As you may have seen earlier in the blog, he will be busy documenting the Barista Trip at the Finca Vista Hermosa.

I was excited when I first heard Gabe was going down there to Guatemala because I have previously been to Guatemala twice to drill water wells with Lifewater International.  I spent some time in the same places where Gabe will visit, Antigua, Guatemala City, and the Department (State) of Huehuetenango.  Though the bulk of my time was spent traveling in the more remote areas in the northern parts of Huehuetenango near a Mayan city called Barillas near the border of Mexico.  As I was there to do some relief work drilling water wells, we toted heavy drilling equipment on 4×4’s along rugged mountain sides and across a the Ixcan river in a dugout canoe to a small town called Monte Carlos.  There I made a friend named Carlos who tried to teach me how to fish with a spear gun.

Gabe, on the other hand, will be in the more civilized areas staying at what looks like a very nice finca (ranch).  I’m excited to see his photos upon his return.

business stock photo shoot in Seattle

Here are a few images from yesterday’s photo shoot. These images will be available for licensing as stock images. We were able to produce plenty of great images like the three below in less than half an hour. (Including setup and breakdown)

Suzette & Davis

Some of our favorite images from Suzette and Davis’ wedding a few weeks ago in Seattle. Again, we had such a fun time with these guys. Thanks for having us! -gabe

Darren & Kryssa

Boone and I had the privilege of shooting Darren & Kryssa’s wedding. We grew up with Darren and his family so it was a lot of fun photographing many of our friends and long-time acquaintances from our days growing up.
