Dating Service

“It’s official- I’m having you do my wedding! Don’t know when that is - not engaged yet, but I’m calling you guys!!! Your pics are wonderful!” - Anna

I love getting emails like the one above! My friend Matt who lives up the street in NW Portland says he’ll hire us to shoot his wedding, we just have to find him a bride. So we’ve decided to start an online dating website called www.gabrielboonedatingservicesandphotography.com . Just kidding. But really, we love getting emails like Anna’s.

Now that Thanksgiving is over… its that time of year again… Elf Yourself time. Click on the link and enjoy (be patient - it can take a little while to load). Don’t worry, we don’t elf too many of our clients after photographing them! Happy Holidays!!

And since every good entry needs a photo, here are some berries from our trip to B.C.

In The Kitchen - Bellingham

Got to spend some time at “In the Kitchen” last week. We also had the priviledge of spending second Thanksgiving with them today. Two down and one more to go! Yes that’s right. Thanksgiving Day 3 is tomorrow with my parents! It’s almost like a stovetop stuffing commercial.

Bed & Breakfast in BC

I’m stoked! Jacqi and I are taking advantage of the holiday weekend and are heading up to British Columbia for a couple of days. Since we met and spent most of our time dating up there, we thought we’d take a quick jot up there and visit some of our favorite spots. Maybe I’ll take a few photos and post them here. Just maybe…

In the meantime I’ll share this sunrise photo taken on a hike with my Father in-law in the Columbia River Gorge. We summited Mount Defiance in late September. At around 5000 feet, Mt. Defiance is the highest peak in the Gorge I guess. Its quite a trek starting at sea level. Even though this view was only around 600 feet high, I believe it was the best view we had all day.

Jessica & Matt | Seattle Engagement Session

Seriously this weekend was a huge success! I went up to Bellingham and meet up with Gabe Thursday evening. We started shooting early the next morning and didn’t stop until Sunday evening with Matt & Jessica in Seattle. We had the benefit of shooting together for most of the weekend, though on Sunday we shot separately. Meeting with and photographing clients is always a blast. I love meeting so many new people and connecting over a really good cup of coffee or some great food. Beside that, I also had a very nice time hanging out with Gabe, Ashley, & their son Baron, seeing Caio Thyme’s new space, spending some free time in Seattle (Greenwod :D), and visiting with my parents for a little bit.

These images are of Jessica & Matt at the Ballard Locks in Seattle. I actually went to high school with Jessica, and when we ran into each other at Semiahmoo earlier this spring, Matt & Jessica were just recently engaged. I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding in July. You can also see their slideshow here. Let me know what you think of the images!
