So I teased everyone a while back with this image of Heidi + Tyson and never posted the rest of the shoot. We were running a bit late and ended up at a different location than originally intended but these guys rolled with the punches and still managed to get all lovey-dovey in front of the camera. As usual, we work with the bestest clients ever and I’m totally looking forward to shooting their 2009 wedding.

Somehow I managed to steal Thomas and Donna away from their busy schedules to shoot some engagement photos of them.  Donna is in her residency down in Half Moon Bay, and Thomas is a specialist at OHSU here in Portland.  As you can imagine, time together for them is very valuable. 

Thomas is loved by everyone I know - Jacqi and I have had the opportunity to get to know Thomas in our “home group” at the Pearl Church.  We were so stoked when Thomas told the group that he and Donna had started to date… then eventually he asked Jacqi and I to help him with his elaborate plan to surprise Donna with a proposal.  In the past year or two we’ve really enjoy becoming good friends with Thomas and Donna and are very excited to shoot their wedding coming up in the Bay Area. 

Jacqi and I got back from Maui a few weeks ago - and besides sharing some pictures with you guys, we brought back some chocolate cover macadamia nuts for you!  We love hearing from you guys on our blog, so we’re going to send our tenth commenter on this post a box of Hawaiian love! 

I love snorkeling.  I also managed to take my father in law surfing while we were there!

This helicopter ride made me want to watch Jurassic Park again!  I guess they used these sea cliffs for the intro scene.

Just wanted to take a moment to congratulate President-elect Barack Obama. Downtown Portland has been pretty incredible tonight. We were at a restaurant with friends and the whole place blew up with excitement as the polls closed in California and Obama was named the new President-elect. People are literally screaming and running around in the streets over here in NW Portland. Its refreshing to see people so excited for our new leader, not to mention taking part in writing America’s history.
