Aaron + Amy // Canada

Aaron and Amy were married in Vancouver, B.C.  They are such a thoughtful couple who put so much time and craftyness into their wedding.  From paper boat place card holders and planes made out of paper maps to cherries and a lemon-aide tasting bar, their wedding was charming and beautiful.

For photos with the guys we hung out at Grandville Island, my old stomping grounds when I was at University in BC.

Gotta love the paper airplanes.

They had lawn games, a fun kids table, and great food.

The photo scavenger hunt for the kids was awesome.

Peace Arch - Bridal Party

Monday and this picture makes me laugh. A bridal party shot in front of the U.S. - Canadian border (Peace Arch Park)… and yes, that’s me (best man!) throwing my son Baron in the air. And yes, that’s our friend Deacon making the peach PEACE Arch with his legs. Totally normal. More images from Jon + Rayna’s wedding coming soon.

Bed & Breakfast in BC

I’m stoked! Jacqi and I are taking advantage of the holiday weekend and are heading up to British Columbia for a couple of days. Since we met and spent most of our time dating up there, we thought we’d take a quick jot up there and visit some of our favorite spots. Maybe I’ll take a few photos and post them here. Just maybe…

In the meantime I’ll share this sunrise photo taken on a hike with my Father in-law in the Columbia River Gorge. We summited Mount Defiance in late September. At around 5000 feet, Mt. Defiance is the highest peak in the Gorge I guess. Its quite a trek starting at sea level. Even though this view was only around 600 feet high, I believe it was the best view we had all day.
