Yeah, unbelievable. Those cheeks just don’t stop! This little guy was so stinkin cute and he just wanted to stick his tongue out at me most of the morning. I couldn’t help but smile the entire time. Sara and Jim found us through our good friend Kirk over at the Practical Westcoast Blog. We had a great shoot the weekend before last at their West Seattle home and over the phone realized that we all went to college together. Check out the darkroom slideshow.

Boone and I shoot a select amount of seniors and families each year and so far we’ve had super-rad clients for 2008. You can look forward to some more awesome seniors up on the blog in the near future as well as maybe a family or two. Still have a bunch of weddings to post as well!

I love this parting look that he gave me as we packed up to leave. Perfect.

Dave + Elisha : Sneak Preview

This is Dave and his beautiful newly wed wife, Elisha. Dave and I played in a band together in college so you can imagine how much I enjoyed shooting him at their wedding. You can look forward to more images from their sweet wedding soon. But for now…

I’m glued to the computer this week to clear my desk. We have a sweet July lined up with a few choice weddings in the Seattle area, dropping in on two different family vacations including the San Juan Islands and the Oregon Coast and to top it off, we’re having our First Annual Company Family Summer Picnic!! Haven’t figured out if we’re going wheel barrow races or potato sack hopping but either way it’ll be a great time for our families to hang out and talk some gabriel boone world domination 2009. We’ve still got a lot of images waiting to hit the blog and some little announcements that we look forward to updating everyone on. But for now, it’s work-city so I can go enjoy time with the family and take in the Pacific Northwest which we love love love.

A year ago this past week my grandmother passed away. I don’t have the words to describe her or what she’s meant to our family. I did however tear up hearing my father talk about his mother and the last interaction that he was able to have with her shortly before she passed.

I’m very happy to have had her in my life and that she was able to meet my son Baron. I can remember one of the last things she said to me as she checked in over the phone to see how our family was doing. At that time it was very hard to make out her words but I clearly heard her say, “Pictures keep people close to your heart, Gabey.” I scrambled to write those words down and have them written in pencil on a post-it note next to the monitor in my office.

The Boys

It was a bit unexpected the first time I said, “the boys” talking about our two sons. But it just seems to fit now and Ashley & I just watch them both with a giant smile and laugh at all the cute things they do and say.

It’s also funny how many times I’ve pulled out my iphone to show off my sons in the past two weeks! Probably at about every shoot and wedding as well as at the grocery store and running errands. I guess I’m just a proud papa as they say.

With that said, I know people come here for images of weddings and people and I hope to deliver some of that next week. We’re out this week shooting and celebrating with family. In the meantime enjoy these images of the boys interacting. The last few are of Baron who bonked his head. The otter pop sure seemed to heal both the emotional and physical trauma that came with the injury.
