Visiting NW Portland

tim

After shooting an alluringly beautiful wedding at the Carnation Farm outside of Seattle, my great friend Tim came down to Portland with me to visit Jacqi and I for a few days. Coincidentally, another good friend of mine is in town this week from Hollywood, CA. If you know us very well, you wouldn’t be surprised to hear we indulged in (very) late nights of video games, great food and drinks, and a few killer games of Scrabble & Scattergories with more of friends here in NW Portland.

I’m always trying to convince our friends to move to nw pdx. Everything is within walking distance, its beautiful, there are countless places to eat great food within a few blocks, fun shopping, & to top it off - we’re three streets up from Pro Photo Supply… you can’t ask for much more.

Bjørn & Jenny get married today!

Today as I’m about to head up to Seattle, I’m pretty excited for my good friend Bjørn who will be getting married today down near Corvallis.  His new wife Jenny is a friend of Jacqi’s as well (they share the experience of going to study in Lithuania).

Bjørn and Jenny are seriously an utterly phenomenal couple that I’m glad to know.  Bjørn was a great leader in this snowboard / skate outreach ministry that we led at TWU.   Their wedding will at the Christensen Estate (Jenny’s family farm).  Also, I seriously recommend checking out their unparalleled engagement story.  Especially take a look at the tracking specs on the bottom of the page.

Also, I almost forgot to mention… I owe it all to Bjørn for getting me plugged back into Apple Computers for how he made so jealous over his 12″ powerbook.

FotoSeminar with Tero Sade in Bellevue

Today was pretty sweet. I spent the day in Bellevue with a group of Seattle Photographers hearing from Australian Photographer, Tero Sade. Tero has been doing this for quite some time and has some amazing photography experience. He has a mind for business both in making great imagery and keeping his clients happy and coming back for more. I really enjoyed listening to him speak as well as the chance to meet some other highly talented photographers from the area. I love that my J.O.B. allows me to spend days attending workshops and seminars on stuff that I love. Now I just need to tend to this blown head gasket on the subaru. yikes.
