Allison + James // Engaged

Classroom where they saw each other for the first time.

Lecture Hall where they had their first class together

I’m uber excited to introduce you all to this rad couple: Allison and James. Their wedding will be later this year in Tacoma, WA but I was able to fly out to Cambridge, MA for their engagement session. The Harvard campus is unbelievably rich in history and it was neat to shoot in a place that is so meaningful to Allison and James as they met there and have spent the past 7 years together there. Click here to see the images I posted while still in Boston.

James' Dad lived in the same house in the 1970's.

We shoot a handful of senior photos every year.  Chanel came to me looking for something that isn’t your typical senior photo so I was pretty stoked to set something up with her.  This shoot started by grabbing a coffee at Ken’s with Chanel and my awesome assistant for this shoot, Jennifer Schmidt (a friend through flickr).  We had to wait for the rain to let off a little which gave us a chance to talk a bit more about the shoot.  Twelve ounces later we were wandering down NW 21st Ave to hit up a few clutch spots and then eventually over to the Pearl District to finish up with shooting inside of Sip N Kranz.

By the way, this shot (above) was taken at f1.2 @ 1/2000 with a 580exII coming a bit from the left.
